Description
Umicore's patented metal hardening technology using dispersion.
The process strengthens and stabilizes the structure of Pt, PtAu5, and PtRh10 over the long term.
High-performance materials (crystal growth blocked at 1,000°C). Three materials available. Reference material for glass melting crucibles or alkaline melting cups: FKS Rigilit PtAu 5 (guaranteed constant flatness of the bottom of the casting dishes and therefore of the glass beads (mechanical resistance up to 1,650°C (1,300°C max. for standard PtAu5). Recommended use of FKS Rigilit PtRh 10: 1,800°C in permanent thermal exposure (e.g., thermocouples in glass melting baths).
