We are pleased to introduce MabSelect™ mild elution, a Protein A resin designed for the capture of antibodies that are sensitive to acidic pH. Its key advantage is a milder elution, typically around pH ~5 (vs. ~pH 3.5–4 traditionally), in order to reduce acid-induced aggregation, improve yields, and preserve biological activity as much as possible.
Delivers value in:
• Reducing aggregation and yield loss during the capture of pH-sensitive antibodies by limiting exposure to highly acidic conditions.
• Improving the quality of the capture pool and potentially reducing the burden on polishing steps.
• Leveraging the Fc-specific interaction to separate product-related impurities already at the capture step when purifying asymmetric bispecific antibodies with a knockout of the Protein A–Fc interaction motif on one chain.
