Description
The MagBeads FastDNA™ Kit for Soil enables the extraction of genomic DNA from a wide range of environmental sample types in less than one hour.
Samples are processed in Lysing Matrix tubes containing a mixture of three bead types and are first mechanically disrupted to achieve efficient lysis of bacteria, fungi, viruses, protists, and other cells present in the sample within seconds.
The kit can be used manually, and its magnetic bead–based DNA purification method eliminates the need for centrifugation, enabling automation of the workflow. The kit is compatible with most automated nucleic acid extraction instruments available on the market.
The kit also includes reagents specifically developed to remove humic acids, polysaccharides, phenolic compounds, and enzyme inhibitors, supporting the extraction of highly purified genomic DNA suitable for PCR, sequencing, and other downstream applications.
