Defining metrological needs in the laboratory – Tolerances and traceability paths

Speakers:
Christophe BalichardBACKRIDEXBenoit BoudierLDAR02Responsable Qualité, Hygiène et Sécurité
Description
For this new series of conferences organized in partnership with FORUM LABO, the CFM invites you to revisit two fundamental concepts: the definition of metrological needs and the choice of traceability for measurement results. Whatever your strategy for carrying out your metrological operations – in-house, externally, or both – it is essential to master your metrological needs. And to meet them as accurately as possible, in accordance with the applicable standards in your sectors of activity. Our experts will provide you with the keys to defining your metrological specifications and the corresponding conformity decision rules. They will also detail the different possible traceability paths.

Description
Inter-Laboratory Comparisons (ILC) involve conducting tests or calibrations on the same sample by different laboratories under pre-established conditions. There are different types of ILCs with varying objectives. Proficiency tests, for example, aim to assess the performance of participating laboratories. Other ILCs evaluate the performance of a measurement method implemented by all participants. This conference cycle will test your knowledge of ILCs and provide an overview of the operation and utilization of proficiency tests.
